Revelation 8 & 9
Millions of people and angels are constantly worshiping God.
Then suddenly everything was silent for half an hour. During this quiet time the prayers of the saints were offered before God.
The Seven Trumpet Judgements
1. Fire and hail mixed with blood. 1/3 of the trees and all the green grass was burnt up
2. A burning mountain was thrown into the sea. 1/3 of sea creatures died and 1/3 of the ships were destroyed
3. A great star fell from heaven and poisoned 1/3 of the sources of water. Nuclear fallout?
4. 1/3 of The sun, moon and stars were struck and darkened.
5. The bottomless pit was opened, and locusts came out with the power to torment people
6. Four angels were released to kill 1/3 of all people with an army of 200 million
God is giving people as much chance as possible to turn to God, but those remaining refuse to repent and turn to God
Why do they not repent? And why do people today not repent?
Chasing The White Rabbit theory: the persistent belief that achieving a goal will make one happy. But once that goal has been achieved then the focus shifts to a new goal that will provide happiness.
Only God can make you happy, and bring satisfaction and fulfilment.
Keep praying!
When we pray we need to keep seeking, keep asking – keep filling your heavenly bowls with prayers. God is teaching is to be dependent on Him, not ourselves.
You won’t know when your bowl is full, but when it is, the answer will come. Keep praying!
